Review on πŸ”Œ PAC RP5-GM11 Interface: OnStar Retention, Steering Wheel Control, Navigation Outputs for Select GM Class II Vehicles by Sean Chambers

Will not transfer steering wheel control to a Pioneer radio in a 2006 GMC truck.

He hooked up my new radio to the speakers and did all the basics but the steering wheel controls didn't work. Pioneer radio (very standard brand, not el-chepo no name). It's listed in the instructions and I used the switch position listed from the start. I also tried the manual settings option to try to program the buttons directly. I didn't get a single answer. It just doesn't connect the controls on the steering wheel to the radio. This is the main reason I bought it as I don't need a harness adapter, I could connect the radio directly to speaker wires etc. Very disappointed with it. Since it's expensive to pull out the entire dash and the radio doesn't fit well in the space, I didn't want to take it all apart again to put a new unit in, so I left it in place. However, I feel like I totally wasted my money.
