Revainrating 5 out of 5

For $17 this is an incredible deal. Very happy!

I was just bored looking through things and looking for something I couldn't live without to put in my new truck and this lighting system appeared in the suggested positions. . I'm so glad it happened! At first I was very cautious about this. I mean, hey, this is a custom LED system for only $17, and you usually get what you pay for. However since this is Revain and I felt like I could return it if it just didn't work and after reading many positive reviews about the product I took a chance. Even if I didn't get my money back, it would also bust the bank. Unplugging this thing every time I turn off my truck and plugging it back in later because that would just suck. It's important to note that this will ONLY work when powered by USB, and the USB power adapter is simply always on, especially if you have a USB cigarette lighter adapter. I checked my USB ports and made sure they only get power when I open my car door and turn off when I get out of the car. And after a few minutes I found this to be true, although the USB stays on for about 30 seconds after turning off the engine or opening the door, but turns off. This was key as I want the lights to come on when I open the door and I want them to turn off and not drain my battery. After that I made a purchase. The only open questions are: 1) Can I put it up nicely enough to hide it but still show enough light, and. 2) Does the lighting system remember the last color selected or does it reset every time? The item was received quickly and I immediately tested the light in the house. In fact, he remembered the color after turning off the light and plugging it back in. Big! Installation was easy, with just enough wiring to get where the lights were supposed to go, with just enough extra clearance to route the wires so they were hidden. At least for me. =) I actually used small black zip ties for the three lanterns as there really wasn't anything flat, smooth and long enough to glue the lanterns to and I felt that trying to use an adhesive backing wouldn't work. work in the long run. I loosely secured the zip ties in circles around small metal bars under the dash on the driver's side and under the front seats to the rear, then slipped the light wand through the circled zip ties and tightened the zip ties after slightly positioning them so they were glowing in the right direction . Stains. For the passenger side I had a long enough flat space, low enough that you couldn't see the underside enough unless you almost put your head on the floor panel, so I used the alcohol wipe that came with the lighting system (very important), let it air dry for a minute and then stick it for 30 seconds to make sure it sticks well. These lights look really amazing after a day of use! They turn on when I open the door, look great while driving (I use navy blue or dark purple so it's not as bright or distracting at night). You're playing music from your phone and the mic feature doesn't seem to be doing much, and it's an odd feature anyway. Most of these extras don't really interest me. But then again, the fact that as long as your USB ports have power turning on and off appropriately, and you're ready with some zip ties, this system is an ABSOLUTE THIEF for the money! Super happy I gave them a chance!
