Review on 🌱 Hiro Aquatics Full Spectrum WRGB Planted Aquarium Light: Built-in Timer, Adjustable Brightness, Ideal for High Tech Plants, Freshwater Only (50W) by Tammy Smith

Revainrating 3 out of 5

Light intensity and schedule are not saved and remain on until turned off after a power failure.

This lantern is really good for. I've noticed new growth in my new tank as the old leaves die off. The light is bright and illuminates the entire tank, which is about 5 gallons. It also doesn't cause reflections on the glass, which can result in beta or other territory fish seeing their reflection and causing stress. The downside is that programming is easy. You need to set the timer to the desired amount of time. That is, if you want it to turn on at 2pm and you're at work. You need to pick up or have someone program it for you. If the device turns off, you will need to reprogram and adjust the brightness. When the power returns, the wall of light also turns on. So make sure you set a timer and/or have someone check the tank when you're on vacation. The brightness also needs to be adjusted. This is the biggest issue that caused the rating to drop to 3 stars.
