I finally got around to fixing some shutters where the staples had pulled out from the connections between the slats and the control arm. The YouTube video I watched to learn how to do this also mentioned replacing broken magnetic catches. I hadn't even realized our old plastic ones were almost all broken, probably because the plastic got brittle after years of sun exposure. These metal ones will probably last forever. These are slightly larger than the original catches (which was my mistake), but they still fit fine, work perfectly, and look great. I might get some more for some cabinets and drawers around the house.
