Review on Chemical Guys WAC_808_16 Optical Detailer by Greg Roberts

Ok I've used this on 3 of my cars, 4 if you count the Vespa. Here's what I found out. Silver Lincoln Town looked like I'd waxed it, not the shiniest finish (Yellow Carnuba (Meguire's) and Butter Wet Wax (Chemical Guys) won that contest. But it was nice. Three times a week I'll admit it will it didn't last long My wife's silver Fiat (which never gets washed) looked good, stayed clean much longer, it works there WHERE I FALL IN LOVE THIS PRODUCT was on my van I still don't know what I was thinking. It's 10 feet tall, about an acre of black glass and tin, and was TERRIBLE to keep clean and shiny.Test this sealer on a small area and it's immediately clear that this isn't the best product for a raw Finish Prepped finish (sold on the Mississippi Gulf Coast for over a year) with Meguire's Ultimate Polish (two day job) then use ala aerosol sealant So I parked and watched After each rain it disappeared the water and there was NOT A SINGLE WATERSPEAR left on the beautiful black coating. Week after week, rain after rain, dry in the sun - NO STAINS! I applied a second coat, washed the van after the ride, it started raining again - NO STAINS. i love this stuff Having had many black cars in my life, I wish I had found this product sooner. It also does an excellent job of removing fingerprints and smudges from black stainless steel devices.
