This is such a gorgeous phone case! Being someone who loves leather goods and items and KNOWS what they look like- this is real leather. The smell and look of the phone immediately confirmed it upon in packaging. If it wasn’t real leather, it would have been returned immediately. I hope it continues to patina well- so far, so good! While it offers some protection to your phone, but I wouldn’t trust it alone to protect it against falls or scratches- it’s more esthetically pleasing than protecting. Now, if you pair it with a really solid screen/back cover, then you’re in good hands. I would recommend the rhino sheild brand.
