Review on ๐Ÿ”ช The Ultimate Morakniv Allround Multi-Purpose Fixed Blade Knife: Sandvik Stainless Steel Blade, 8.1-Inch, Black by Jarrett Young

Revainrating 5 out of 5

The knife is of good quality but the thickness of the blade is slightly thinner than other utility knives.

The 8.1" blade is the Mora 749. The blade is 2mm or 0.078" thick and slightly thinner than other 2.5mm or 0.098" All Around knives. the weight in the blade is something that makes the balance not as bad as one might expect. Due to the thinner steel blade I will not use it for rough tasks but will use it in my kitchen. it's sharp and well made, but I don't trust the thickness of the blade for rough work. This is the longest open air mora I have ever seen. It will work perfectly as a high quality carving knife. The finished rubberized grip feels slightly greasy for some reason. Hope it clears up and improves with time. Moras are great knives and I have several including Companion and Bushcraft Black. This will serve me well.
