For years I played with the factory wiper arm, oiled it and tried my best to make it work properly. The spring from the factory is annoying. The wiper blade never really wears out, it dry rots because it rarely comes into contact with the glass. Considering the winter we've had in the Midwest, it's nice that it actually works for a change. It took 2 minutes to install and finally throw away this old useless thing. Seen from there, the spring is under tension and a new hose for the wiper water. If you take it close, the quality looks higher than the factory, maybe they finally got it. It fits perfectly on the windscreen and allows the wiper to do its job cleanly. I even gave him a premium Bosch wiper blade. It's amazing how something so small can make such a big difference. So far the only disappointment I've had is the packaging. It was thrown into a bag in a "somewhat" padded envelope. Damn, carriers are terrible with packages. I've seen them play box hockey at a few facilities. Take my advice and put things in boxes, it can't hurt the profit margin much. If so, I would happily pay the extra dollar to ensure some precautions were taken when packaging my purchase. This is a quality item so don't let the shipping companies ruin it because you saved on shipping packaging.
