I'm not entirely sure if this is the quality I expected or if it was damaged, but I would have a hard time understanding how the metal chewed up in an upholstery envelope like this. It's just a 3.5mm cable with a volume button, so for the price I'd expect less ripping. Has anyone received them the same way? UPDATE 3/25/20 (2 MONTHS LATER) I take very good care of all my belongings. I work in the AV industry and don't wrap cables as I regularly replace tightly wound lavalier mics and can't watch someone twist the cable around the controller/mic/etc. wraps. BUT. After only 2 months I get my headphones and find that the cable is broken. I have a lot more work to do with my life right now (like most of you) to hassle these people and ask for a replacement/refund, but just don't buy it. It was covered in scratches on the fork when it arrived but I got over it but it's just plain cheap. go somewhere else
