Soft, sweatshirt-like material that feels as soft inside and out as a baby blanket. The inner label looked rough to me so I cut it off. I bought the large one because my Old Kitty is shaved and I wanted full coverage of her hips. It's slightly loose on the stomach but fully covers the hips. This is a good design for cats as it gives them more freedom to groom. I like that both front legs have the same opening. Easy to turn on and off. She is happy in it and comfortable on those chilly autumn evenings. I take photos during the day.
