This cat won't turn white. ALL diamonds are blue or gray. None of them are white. Or pink for the nose. The black spots on the ears are also blue. The photos of the product show that it has blue undertones but is primarily white. Packets 5 and 17 should be the "white" part of the cat. Even the shadow on the fur on the actual poster is much darker and again consists of blue-grey diamonds. This cat won't even look like the finished painting because the diamonds are too dark for the shade. I wanted my black cat to be matched with a white cat as I have one of each. I chose this one because of the cute butterflies. In fact, it won't look like my cat at all, which is disappointing. I'll either have to search for the diamonds that are actually white to finish this or cut my losses and get another one.
