When I first received it the heart rate monitor was not working and seemed to be off. After some trial and error, I found that when you're on the chronograph screen and showing "🖤 off", you can force it to switch to "🖤 on" by holding "ST/SP/+" and "NEXT". /SAVE" /-" buttons simultaneously for several seconds. Once I did that, the heart rate monitor worked. Unless I overlooked it, it doesn't seem to be in the supplied instructions. - 1 star. It also seems, that the reset button only works on light but doesn't reset the timer.but i found a workaround (press and hold save,choose no,press and hold save) so it's a minor issue.otherwise this product is exactly what I expected. Affordable heart rate monitor that beeps when I'm outside of my target heart rate zone. No app or phone required.
