Everything you need to cut Your Cricut will be placed on the cutting mat. The one most used today is the green carpet. This package contains all three styles of 12" x 12" mats. I suggest you rotate the paper at different corners of the mat to keep it sticky and use other mats if you need more or less support. I've been a marathon user of my Cricut so far, but after 6 months of ownership and two very intense long cutting sessions, my green mat is fairly used but still usable for another light project before replacing the green mat. So far I have not used any other grip mats in the package. I suggest having some mats on hand and I think this is a good starter purchase with a Cricut machine.
