When I put "fit as expected" it is because this was coming from China and past experience has taught me go big or go home. I am a 10/12 US, with a small chest. I ordered a 2XL. I am using this for a costume.so I want a dress to fit underneath. The 2XL is perfect. I tried it on and had some difficulty getting the front closures to be done all at once (get one done and then as I did the next the 1st undid, some practice is necessary). The interior construction is sturdy w/plastic boning around the sides and back, with sturdy metal boning along the front closures. The exterior construction is sturdy as well and teh brocade fabric is very pretty. I am very pleased, thus far, with the product. Not sure if it will bust open in public, I hope not.but right now, I would highly recommend this.just remember to order BIG!
