Review on πŸ”₯ EKWB EK-M.2 NVMe Heatsink for Improved Cooling - Black by Dave Harris

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Installed on 1TB WD SN850 in PS5

NVMe and related heatsinks are hard to find after Sony released their latest beta software for PS5. Make sure the heatsink you want to buy meets Sony's specifications. This one does. The kit contains two strips of thermal pads with a thickness of 0.1 mm and 0.5 mm. This is where I ran into my only setup problem. Using a 0.5mm thick spacer on both sides makes mounting the mounting clips impossible. If using thinner thermal pads is an issue for you, look elsewhere. Other than that, this heatsink is of good quality and installing it on the WD SN850 and my PS5 was pretty easy. I will update if I run into overheating issues (don't know how to control the temperature without disabling the sidebar). And in case anyone is wondering, the WD SN850 is compatible and has a read speed of over 6500MB/s according to my PS5. We are sorry that photos cannot be added to this review. I was too excited to install and run it!
