We received the chair via UPS this afternoon. It was packed in a compact box that was easy to lift and carry. The box itself was very well made and sealed tightly so it took a while to fully open. All the components of the chair have been well protected with foam sheeting and support blocks to prevent shifting. I unpacked all the components and placed them on the box for inventory (see photo 1). After that, I turned on the timer and started building. Here are my tips and observations.1. Arrange all screws and washers so that they are accessible.2. Please take the two minutes to read the assembly instructions before you start.3. First, the two lower cross braces are mounted. It can be difficult if you don't read the instructions. Note. There is a separate screw at each end which must be inserted exactly as directed. You also need to screw them into the left and right legs of the seat at the same time. The instructions also say to install them "loosely". To allow the upper swivel seat assembly to fit into the slots in the legs without using force, leave the two cross brackets loosely screwed in until the plate is in place.4. Once the leg cross braces are in place, you can install the seat pivot assembly. Four long bolts are used with a flat washer and lock washer on each bolt. There is nothing difficult in it. After installation, go back and tighten the cross braces on the two legs to secure the knot.5. Finally you can install the seat. Lay it on a soft surface (carpet or towel) and mount four short screws with washers.6. Go back and recheck all eight bolts to make sure they are all tight, then do a final check on the cross brace. Ready! I have never assembled one of these stools and the total build time (after everything was unpacked) was 13 minutes. Not a difficult task. The stool itself is a beautifully finished piece of furniture (see photo 2). This is not cheap chipboard, but beautiful solid wood. It is (appears to be mahogany) with a walnut finish. It's very durable, rotates smoothly, and the two pre-installed cross braces have protective covers to keep your feet from scratching the surface (nice touch). Overall I think the quality and style of this stool makes it very good value for money. . Assembly is very easy and the only tool you need is in the box. I give it two thumbs up and can only recommend it.
