These jewelry magnets arrived promptly straight from China in neat packaging. The magnets add 1.75 inches and the hooks are small and a little difficult to open and fill. But at least I can do it without hanging it around my neck. I used a set on a fairly heavy string of beads and they were strong enough to stay connected until I tugged hard on the chain. However, the next time I used the kit to connect two light necklaces, the end of the magnet pulled out of the end of the hook. I repaired the exposed link with jewelry pliers but figured these links should be strong enough as you have to pull on them to open the magnets. Time will tell if they hold up to the wear and tear, but I like how they're supposed to perform.
