I chose it because I don't need optical precision and I prefer it to be simple and reliable

Bought 2 years ago and have been with fruit ever since to determine ripeness, quality etc d. It appears to be well made and requires no batteries. I'm posting this review because I just checked the calibration with water and a 20% Brix standard solution. It came into force two years later. I chose this because I don't need optical accuracy and I prefer the simple, reliable, battery protected analog version. Would I buy again or recommend.
