Review on PAC LC-1 Remote Amplifier Level Controller,Black,Small: Advanced Audio Control at Your Fingertips by Michael Syph

I ordered one of these but didn't install it until it was outside the return window. When I noticed hiss at high volume, I just assumed I had a defective one. So I ordered a new one and got the same results, this one is refundable. I've tried increasing the gain on other parts of the system (source and amp) to reduce the need to turn the knob all the way up and I still get the same result, when the system gets loud I get distortion. . My goal is to have a system loud enough that this doesn't work for me. I give it 3 stars as it works for less noisy applications. Also, it costs $9. So if you meet your expectations with the price, that's not a bad thing. So 3 stars.
