I used to have a cheap MS mouse but it didn't look like this one. I was very happy with it until it failed, so I decided to try MS again. So far I'm not that excited. Pros: - It runs well on screen. I use it on different surfaces and it's pretty accurate. - The mouse wheel feels nice and is definitely a slight improvement over my previous MS mouse. - The size of the mouse is perfect for my hand. It's no frills and it's what I prefer. Cons: Right and left buttons are LOUD. I came across some other comments mentioning this but figured it might not be that bad. Unfortunately it's damn loud. This is frustrating compared to the previous MS mouse. I hope it wears out a bit and isn't that loud, but I've been doing it for a week now and it's reverberating in my room CLICK CLICK CLICK - The right and left buttons require a stronger click. This is a carpel tunnel in the making. The extra tension required to press those buttons is really the worst aspect of this mouse. Like they redesigned some industrial grade switches from the 60's to save money. Terrible choice. Sure it was a cheap mouse, but my experience with cheap mice over the past 15 years has been pretty good. Unfortunately, the added strain and loud clicks of this particular model lead me to recommend you find something else.
