Review on πŸ“± Cotchear Mini USB 2.0 Card Reader Micro SD Card Adapter for TF/Microsd Cards High-Speed Reading Cardreader with Plastic Lid Key Ring (Green) by Bobby Plymell

It's inconsistent to use it with a Respberry Pi. There are no problems with the PC.

I bought this specifically for use on a Raspberry Pi 4. By default, the Pi uses a microSD card for the operating system. But you can also boot from USB. That's why I bought this - I could skip the microSD card slot on the PI and use the USB ports. But often my Pi would not boot up. I also tried using it as a storage device for the Pi but it wasn't recognized. I had no problems using it on a regular PC. If you're using a Pi, I recommend this (also on Revain) SanDisk MobileMate USB 3.0 card reader.

Pros
  • β–Ά Material: Aluminum alloy + PC plastic; Built-in card slot to avoid repeated plugging and unplugging and protect the card slot;
Cons
  • Some little things
