This is a nice cardigan. As others have said, it is a bit heavier weight. It is a fine gauge knit, so even though it is hard to tell, it is a sweater knit. I am 5'4" and 140 lbs, 32DD and ordered small. I would size down if in between sizes. The small fit me just fine. I did not end up keeping this because where the side seams meet the bottom ribbing, the fabric bubbles because of the way it was sewn, and that was not flattering on me because it accentuated my wide hips. This might work for you, but it just didn't work for me. I don't know how it washes since I did not keep it, but overall it is a nice sweater.
