FIREFLY SHOULD BE STANDARD EDITION FOR EVERY FIAT 500. I like it when a product works properly and the way I hope it will. After purchasing my Fiat 500 (which I really love) I was a little annoyed by the inability to connect multimedia via bluetooth. Until now! Well tucked away in the glove box it works perfectly, just as BT should work with any new car. This should be standard on every Fiat 500 and similar stereo that allows BT connectivity for phone calls but not multimedia (music, GPS, etc.). Please note that this product draws all of its power from the USB port and will not hold any charge at all. Other products have a battery and an on/off switch, in my case I had to open the glove box every time to turn on the little device, very annoying and not very "Oem". Setup literally took seconds, an absolute breeze. The firefly turns on/off with the ignition and connects automatically. It uses media protocol ONLY, my device only connects to phone protocol so they start and run at the same time. You don't have to do anything, just start the car and both are connected. Make phone calls through the car as usual, play music or forward GPS maps (Google) as usual, everything is done via the car radio controls and the BT integration is designed to work. The previous device mentioned above was cheaper but had cables and the need to turn it on and off was unnecessarily annoying. Firefly is sleek, discreet and works exactly as it should with BT vehicles. All of this would mean nothing if the sound quality suffered. But I couldn't be happier, I think the sound quality is exceptional, the highs are high and the lows are deep as they should be. I don't have any of the distortion or electrical hum that I've read in other reviews. However, it is very important that the 3.5mm plug is fully inserted into the input, otherwise this is a common problem for any stereo. This review was written by the most ordinary person who paid full price for the product but was very satisfied. I hope this review helps other Fiat 500 owners.
