Review on πΏ Dell DW316 Black USB DVD Drive by Charles Purnell
Loud scratching noise
I was really hoping that this Dell DVD player would be as excellent as my Dell Inspiron 15 7000 laptop, especially since the first external DVD player I bought (Ultra Slim USB 3.0) is defective and must be returned. Unfortunately, the Dell DW316 External USB Slim DVD had the same problem - a creaking noise every 1.2 seconds on both CD and DVD playback and the CD copies I burned. I wonder if they are made by the same Chinese company? I have returned this item and will be looking into another external DVD drive.
