Great socks. Soft in the right areas. Tried other socks. Bought a pair. After trying these, I bought 3 more pairs. These socks are thicker than good white athletic socks, which is what I needed. They were cowboy boots. I have narrow feet, nothing for cowboy boots. I couldn't shorten the boot by half a size, so it had to be adjusted in width. These socks made my cowboy boots perfect. Bought coyote brown and green. Are these the exact same socks but the green ones are more expensive? Makes no sense, but I wanted both colors. These socks work in both warm and cool weather. If I had bought these socks first I would have saved enough money to buy a few more pairs. I've washed them several times and only the shrinkage was calf length and maybe only half an inch. No problem. They say mid-calf but they go to the top of my calf and don't fall off. They seem to be very durable and if or when I need new ones I will buy them again. I hope this helps clear up some of your questions if you're looking for more expensive socks and don't do what I did the first few times.
