Review on Mockins Natural Carved Himalayan Stylish Lighting & Ceiling Fans by Paul Beach

Revainrating 3 out of 5

Great value for money but some headaches.

The first impression when opening the box was excellent. Well made stones, quite dusty and straight from the quarry that need cleaning before installing a simple bracket. This is where the problems and headaches begin. One of the bulbs was ripped into pieces during the shipping process. They could have wrapped the bulb or stuck it in a hole in the rock to protect the bulb, but they didn't. There was glass on my bed and on the floor. Short break to wash blankets and vacuum cleaner. Went to Home Depot to get a bulb, but the bulb size isn't listed in the Revain description above. E17? I'm just guessing here. I have no idea until I come back with a good lightbulb in hand. The mini light bulb box also has no size. The assembled one smells like burnt plastic when it burns when an electric lamp is stuck into the rock. They're supposed to clean the air, but I smell it. Ozone? I'm going to buy some LED bulbs and see if the heat makes the bulbs smell burnt. Electrical headache - 2.5 stars for questionable wiring, no better lamp packaging, broken lamp and no lamp size in the description or on the lamp packaging. Oh well. These are little things. The stones that are DESCRIBED were measured 6-8 inches high, one was 5 and 3/4 inches high and the other was 6 and 3/8 inches high. I like the stones. In fact, they're reasonably symmetrical, although one weighs well over twice as much as the other. Five stars for the stones even if they are a bit shorter.
