Review on UEi Test Instruments DM393: Auto Ranging CAT-3 TRMS Digital MultiMate - Accurate Measurements up to 1000V by Michael Vargas

I learned about UEI meters while looking at a rebuild of $100.00 multimeters on the eevblog site [.] He looked at UEI DM 391 which is the same as 393 except that 391 is not true RMS, and he really liked it. I work mostly with electronics and really need a capacitive range finder. I LOVE the look of this counter! It feels good in the hand, the switching travel is great and the display is very nice! Be sure to remove the protective cover from the display, it's hard to see and you'll have to pry it off with your fingernail as there's no tab. This gauge has proven to be accurate when I tested it against my testing standard! The only thing I don't care about is the continuity function, it's a bit clumsy but fast. In addition, 5 years guarantee! I love this gauge!
