I needed to update the light for my 3 gallon Marineland contour (added water lettuce, I was worried the crypts and anubias in the tank weren't getting enough light) and it met all the requirements perfectly. The clip is firmly attached to the plastic wall of the tank and fits snugly into the slot in the plastic lid. I found the set screws to be quite strong, but I would take extra care not to strip the threads. The lantern doesn't have a switch, but I use a plug with a timer so it doesn't bother me. Since adding light last week my water lettuce has multiplied like crazy!
