I have been dealing with cyanobacteria in my freshwater tank for a few months. Wanting to eliminate the infestation without the use of chemicals or antibiotics as possible, I performed weekly water changes/gravel vacuums/manual cyanobacteria removal (a chore that could take up to hours in my 75 gallon aquarium). After spending a few months with this and being confident that my water levels were not the culprit, I decided to treat it more like an infection than an algae outbreak and purchased this product. I was shocked by its effectiveness. I added the prescribed dose twice in one week and literally watched the cyanobacteria melt away. More than a month has passed and no traces of cyanobacteria have been found. My plants recovered immediately and started growing very quickly because the cyanobacteria weren't shading them. In addition, I have some sensitive fish in my tank (tetra, German blue sheep) and I have not experienced any losses or even stress in the fish during the treatment. This product has worked wonderfully.
