The ad states it's 5/32 inch thick metal. My micrometer shows 4/32 and that includes the textured paint, so I'd guess at 3/32"? 4/32 is =1/8". That last bumper I purchased was the same way. One hard pull with a 10,000 lb winch was turning the whole bumper into a pretzel. I ended up installing a 1/4" steel base plate for a winch under the bumper tied to the frame. It took cutting out the bumpers winch plate and other mods but it works. Overall nice bumper came with no dents. Fit perfectly 2017 JK
