Review on Derwent Colored Drawing Pencils - 24 Count Metal Tin Set: Premium Quality and Vibrant Shades (0700672) by Stephanie Lum

This has to be one of my new favorite colored pencils. I've been drawing with colored pencils for over 30 years, I even have a few printed Berol/prismacolor colored pencils from the 1980's. I use many different brands from Caran D'Ache to Schpirerr Colors & Castle Art for inferior quality pencils. I have several Derwent crayons and when I saw the muted tones of these crayons I had to try them and fell in love instantly! Firstly, it's a typical Derwent pencil with a thick lead and a nice round body. They go so smooth and they ride smooth. These pens make great combinations and the Chinese white that comes with this set is the best white I've ever used! I love this white! I even bought a small 5 piece set to get some more white! The colors will compliment any other Derwent set and any other set. I've used them with my Prismas, Castle Arts, Caran D'Ache, Black Widows and Polychromos and they've all worked great!
