I remember being amazed when I first got the projector and amazed at how good the picture looked even in a brightly lit room. Lately the bright light seems to be overwhelming on the projection screen (100 inch) and I wasn't very happy with how it looks. I wasn't sure if I was just used to it or something. My Sony OEM bulbs lasted around 2800 hours when they should last up to 6000, but I noticed blue colors, flickering lights, general blur and darkness. It was easy to take out the old one and install the new one the first time. After I installed it and mounted the image. IMPRESSIVE! I was amazed at how clear the picture was and it looks just like a regular LCD screen in a very brightly lit room. I am very happy with this purchase. I expect it will get even better if I break it within 10-15 hours. If everything goes as expected I'll keep this 5 star rating but with their guarantee I don't expect any problems. I will release an update in the month . Update 9/18: 4 months later the bulb is definitely not shining as brightly. She has 450 working hours. I have to dim the light in my room. see clearly. I can hardly see anything in daylight. After that I think I will stick with the OEM Update2 9/18: Got super fast response! Excellent customer service. Review and rating will be updated once the replacement has been shipped and installed. Update 3 9/22: Received replacement bulb and works great! Added some before and after photos. I can finally watch TV without dimming the lights. Upgraded to 5 stars for now, but hopefully this time it will last longer than 2-3 months (500 hours).
