Thicker than expected
It's fluffy and soft. Hangs enough over the queen and looks great. A month later, that's my only advice. Even with a super-capacity washing machine and air dryer, don't try to wash them at home! Pay for dry cleaning. It creases like no other and the ball filling will be everywhere. It took about 3 hours to stretch and flatten section by section to smooth out the wrinkles. It's light compared to a typical adult blanket, but even with our '68 AC and the fan on, you can get a sweat, and we've never had that problem. Definitely recommend for a more autumn/winter duvet
