I have just received this set and I have to say that while "MtnMona" is definitely entitled to his point of view, some points are grossly exaggerated in my humble opinion. Sashiko needles come in different lengths and serve different purposes. Short needles are the easiest to control and are ideal for beginners. Shorter needles are also great for sewing curved lines. Long needles are better for sewing straight stitches. The thimbles are not "toys" and very durable. Where MtnMona says "A can seems to be adjustable but I'm afraid if I try to open it it will break.". . . . It is adjustable, durable and not easy to open. This kit is perfect for those who don't want to spend a lot of money to see if they enjoy this art form. And no, I don't work for the person selling this kit.
