Bought to replace the cheap plastic thing I've had for a few years that has horribly rusty wires. It's very hard to find a slicer that does slices and wedges, this one seemed perfect and it is. I think I'll have it for a while, very impressed with the weight, stainless steel construction and general durability, it belongs in a professional kitchen but only costs a penny more than a cheap flimsy plastic model. It's worth it! It could have come with instructions - it took me a minute to figure out you have to leave the weather to cut the slices but it also results in the device taking up half the space of an average planer/clinker. Cleaning? Throw it in the dishwasher, on the top shelf, this heavy baby will take it!
