The first one that arrived was defective so it was replaced. This mailbox doesn't really work on a typical L-shaped mailbox. I used a plastic plate and for some reason it keeps deflating. Finally bought metal brackets for mounting. It works but I'm not happy with how I had to pierce it to install. In addition, the flag is constantly waving. The last mailbox lasted 14 years and after installing it I never thought about it. A year has passed and corrected live half a dozen times. So you experience constant pain. I would never have bought this if I knew it's just another thing to look out for. Pass on
