You really can't go wrong with gold acrylic. The liquid line is indeed a watery line, but it still has LOTS of pigment in it, so a little can go a long way! These are acrylic paints for artists, not students. I use all kinds of paints, from hobby paints by Martha Stewart to art paints by Golden and Liquitex. Artist paints contain many more pigments than student paints. Using cheaper materials can compromise the long-term health of your artwork.
