I needed fairly thin, padded cycling gloves that would still allow me to access my phone/watch without having to remove the glove. The reason I hesitated was because I wear XXL golf gloves and the largest size they had for it was XL. Well, it turns out they fit like a glove (ba-dum-tiss). Perfect fit, not too tight, no extra webbing between the toes. The padding is very good in the places where it is needed. They're light enough to wear in the summer and probably good enough to wear up to 35 degrees Fahrenheit before you need something warmer.
