Ie I have done a lot of research to choose a new downhole pump and I keep coming back to this because the price seems really harsh. ####Benefits####145$. everyone else has an approval rating of 85% (4 and 5 stars together) on Amazon as of 10/2019. Given that 90% of people who have had a bad experience leave a negative review and maybe 30-60% of happy customers leave a positive review, it seems that people are generally happy. to 60psi less than twice as fast as my old 1hp pump). #### Cons #### Its 110v at 1hp This is a major con from the start. The motor needs to be on 230/240v for 1 hour to avoid drawing high amps in the motor. Because of this design, this pump draws 10 amps (although mine draws 12.5!). The high current draw will likely seriously shorten the life of my pump motor. I would go with the 230v options but they don't seem to have as good reviews as the 110's (don't know why but it's true. The factory check valve is PLASTIC!? It's easy to put on a real stainless steel check valve from steel). there. but the fact that Hallmark ships it with a plastic check valve makes me seriously question the overall design/labels used for this product. If they want to make it cheaper they should just design/sell it without a check valve and asking customers to get it I was able to buy a 1-1/4" STAINLESS STEEL check valve for $22. (don't use brass, stainless steel and brass don't work well). very thin wire 12+ amps, have seen studies and these pumps are wholesale from china for $50$$
