We used this in a room where the cat couldn't find her litter box. She walked across the thin carpet, which dripped onto the floor below, which was made of wood. We actually cleaned the wood with this product and then lightly bleached the same area. Since then we've also carpeted the rest of the room, put in hard linoleum that looked like wood, and covered it with a rug. To this day (2 months later) there is no trace of an odor in the wood or anywhere else in the room. That worked for us.
