Review on Environmentally Friendly Disposable Palm Leaf Bowl by Suhas Carney

These are very cool bowls; They are attractive and environmentally friendly. They have a "rough" look and feel that enhances the feel of the natural product. I will use mine for fruit bowls or salad bows, and I will be happy to do so. Unfortunately I wanted to use them at a party where hot soup is being served. As a test, I poured heated water into one of the bowls, and it started deforming almost immediately. I left it on the hot water counter to see what would happen; it continued to deform and became very sloppy. When I lifted the bowl a few minutes later, there was water underneath that had seeped through the palm leaves. I would never ask my guests to deal with a soup bowl that begins to fall apart right in front of our eyes. I also ordered plates which are great for cold sandwiches but I had to order other bowls.
