I love oatmeal and have tried many different ways of preparing it. Oatmeal takes longer to cook than regular oatmeal and requires stirring during the cooking process. I've tried putting them in the slow cooker so they're ready in the morning, but since I only cooked a portion, the oats inevitably burned at the bottom of the pot, and I didn't care how "mushy" the oatmeal was was. " became. You can't cook oatmeal overnight with oatmeal, or at least I haven't been able to. When I saw this little rice cooker, I wondered if it would be suitable for making oatmeal without stirring. I'm happy Saying that this mini cooker does a great job of cooking oatmeal without pausing or stirring it, not only does it cook oatmeal perfectly, it stays warm until you're ready for breakfast and takes up very little countertop space, being non-stick and lightweight to clean. I also made some jasmine rice in it and it came out great. The smell of the rice when cooking was amazing and the rice cooked in this pot was much better than cooked on the stove top. I especially like the size and the ability to to cook in small quantities I am very happy with this purchase!
