Perfect for home brewing, I use it for mashing, HERMS coil, fly wash and transfer from BK to primary fermenter. High flow at full tilt, capable of pumping 6 gallon batches in less than 3 minutes. The pump doesn't complain about being pushed VERY down and handles 174F water with no problem (that's the highest temperature I'll bring to my process when mashing up to 170F). Worth the cost of the entrance ticket. I have paired this with stainless steel barbed connections and a set of three ball valves from another supplier and it has given me no indication that this will break the jets. You can buy about 10 pieces for the price of a chugger or equivalent! I also plug it into an extension cord and use an extension cord with a switch to turn the power on and off, but you can also just unplug the included power connector.
