Installs per instructions. After fixing the leaks from the bad o-rings on the nipple ports, I turned on the filter to bleed the air out of the heater. As soon as the water stopped bubbling, I turned on the heater. I set the heating to 75°. Three hours later the water temperature was 86°. Assuming that the temperature would fluctuate so much because it was a cheap heater, I lowered the temperature to 68°. I went to work and returned 12 hours later to a 93° tank with hundreds of dollars worth of fish. Stay as far away from this filter as possible if you care about your fish. It was used in a 125 gallon aquarium. .The heater will not turn off, it will give an overheat code and keep heating the water!
