I bought this in December 2018, about 1.5 years ago. This splitter, which powers 2 devices, was permanently in my car and has NEVER been removed since it was originally installed. Basically I haven't touched or plugged it in all that time. One day it suddenly stopped supplying power to my devices. It wasn't a fuse - that's good. It was the cigarette lighter plug that would lose connection with the outlet unless you put it in the perfect position and hold your breath. The male plugin is out of service. I replaced it with another splitter and the swap worked great so I PROVE this device suddenly went wrong. There were no problems with the car socket, because the new one works perfectly. What is surprising is that this splitter was not handled. I could understand if it was plugged/unplugged a lot but it hasn't been touched in 1 1/2 years so I haven't worn this unit down. It just died from the electrons flowing through it. This device I am reviewing seems to be of low quality otherwise it would NOT stop working like this on its own. I don't see any reference to a guarantee in the description. I replaced this splitter with one with an 18 month warranty --- for about the same price.
