My 2003 f350 alternator was making a horrible growl. So I thought I'd try my luck with that. I was a little unsure about the quality of the product at this price point but was impressed when I received it. It was not a refurbished unit as some sell as new as everything is bright and new with fresh engine tracks. Perfect compatibility with new electrical devices. I didn't have a wrench to tighten the belt, so I just turned the pulley under the belt and then tightened the alternator on its mount until I could get the first bolt in. Tightened, but not fully, and put the other two. 10 minutes work. Batteries tested properly, 14.4 volts at idle. Very happy
