My new Halo 9W-C is an attachable LED light that I am currently using to illuminate the canvas that I paint in my studio. I like the even and balanced lighting and coverage it offers. I find this to be adequate for a fairly large 28" x 36" canvas. My studio is in a small room with little natural light and I often paint late into the night. With the new lamp, I no longer have to stop painting because of poor lighting. Trond Halo 9W-C simulates daylight without flickering. It offers three levels of brightness. I use the brightest setting to even out the shadows and reflections even during the day. This makes it easier to see details or work in close-ups - the colors are natural and vibrant. The ability to attach this light source to an easel is a great benefit. In this position it doesn't bother me and I never stand in front of a light source. I love the fact that the 9W-C uses so little power and still offers enough brightness without overheating after long periods of use. This is in contrast to what I used. A 500w halogen bulb with uneven brightness bands is so hot it actually heats up the room! Along with great products, Trond offers impressive customer service. I am very happy with both. I would highly recommend this light to fellow artists, hobbyists and avid readers.
