**Updated** Most shields fell off the door after a few months of use. So I had to glue them all back to the door with super glue. So yes. The shield is fine, but that glue isn't good. We have these hinged doorstops on almost every door in the house, which while useful, occasionally slip out of our hollow doors. So I bought these wall boards to patch and protect doors. Shields are effective and easy to use. My only complaint is that the glue is a bit nasty. Instead of one sticker covering the entire back, there are 4 small strips on each shield that need to be peeled off. And the little red cover doesn't always fit, it also tries to grab all the tape. I took them all off and glued them to my (8) doors and they work really well but minus 1 star for the nasty glue.
