Nothing says you're a pro like having the right tools for the job. Sure, you can walk in with a business card and shoe covers, but if you think the gas leak detector is your nose, then you need to up your game. Image is very helpful during maintenance work and having a tool that the average person doesn't have and being able to pinpoint the location of a leak and the severity of a leak speaks volumes to your credibility as a professional trader. A combustible gas detector gives me peace of mind after working on a gas line, but never replaces pressure test bladders when needed.
