So I bought this as a compromise. There were cheaper models that I feared would be useless, there were more expensive ones, but this model was priced mid-range. Looks very high quality, sturdy and heavy. I was surprised it has such a quality feel. This massager really works. I think the one at my chiropractor's office could be a little stronger, but I'm not kidding. Works great for a home user. Variable speed works well. The pad is very durable and looks like it will hold up, but it's vinyl so expect it to crack or deteriorate after a few years of use. My only complaint about it would be that it's difficult to use alone. It really isn't meant to be used alone and other models of this device will have the same problem. I don't think you can go wrong with your purchase and save over $70 compared to a premium brand. Will it continue? Hopefully. I have no idea if this will hold up for professional use, but for home use it will definitely do the job.
